YES DAY!
**In a child's world, 'no' is often heard but that's not what they will hear today!
We will start our day reading Yes Day! by Amy Krouse Rosenthal and then close the year with the following 'yes' activities:

~Chew bubble gum.
~No shoes.
~Get stickers.
~No need to be quiet or walk in a line down the hall.
~Extra recess.
~Sit where they want on the rug.
~Special treat & drink.
~Extra playtime.
~No schoolwork at all!
Our final computer class is today.
Phy Ed Today

~I am sending a bag of paper books home for summer. PLEASE set a routine to have your child read the books throughout the summer, it will help them retain the skills they have worked so hard for! There are about 50 books-a book every other day...They can highlight the skill for a particular book and answer the comprehension questions at the end. Of course, reading to them all summer is encouraged! The books are for you to keep-enjoy!
~My Wishy Washy Crew...

~As I write this final update, I know in my heart I have given all that I could to help your child learn and grow. They helped me grow in so many ways too! We became a 'kinderfamily' which will forever be a part of my heart and memories that will be cherished. More importantly, they have given all they could to be such great learners! I want to thank all of you for making our partnership be what it was for the benefit of your child. My hope is that someday they will all say:
All I really need to know I learned in Kindergarten!
Happy trails to you, until we meet again...

Cleaning Day with Mrs. Wishy Washy!

The kids will wear Mrs. Wishy Washy's headpiece so they can scrub our classroom like she does with the farm animals. The kids will get aprons to wear and plenty of water to use in order to get the job done! Here's the chant they say to help squeeze the excess water out of the rag:
Wishy washy, wishy washy, shake-shake-shake...

**Other Mrs. Wishy Washy activities today include:

~Mrs. Wishy Washy reader (can sight word)
~In the story, the animals always say, "Oh lovely mud." How would you describe the mud?
~Identify the characters and setting in the story.

Project: A gift for Dad
~Happy Father's Day in advance!

~Coming home with your child today is a bag filled with dental items...donated by Delta Dental.
~Tomorrow is YES Day! Today we will come up with ideas of reasonable and safe things we can say yes to throughout the day. Sounds like a GREAT way to end our year together...
~Report cards will be sent home tomorrow.
