Math: Comparing Numbers to 20
New
Concept:
You
will be revisiting the concept of comparing numbers.
We have worked on comparing numbers
before, but today I want to revisit it. We are going to play a new game. Select a student to be your partner. We will each take a card. I want to show
you these symbols. Show and remind students of the symbols greater than, less
than, and equal to. Say, 15 is less than 16. Demonstrate this game a few more
times using the various symbols.
Today
you will play Monster Munch with your partner.
spinner to see who gets to keep both cards. Demonstrate using the spinner a few more times before letting the students work on their own.
