While we may take the pencil for granted, but it's important to truly teach the proper grasp. It's likely that we have all heard the song Where is Thumbkin but did you know each of our fingers has a special job to do when holding a pencil? The only fingers not doing the work are Ringer & Pinky. The others work together to touch where the brown meets the colored part of the pencil.
