Literacy Shelf
Again, there is a large variety of items related to literacy that the children choose from during the Literacy Jobs segment of their day. They spend about 30-40 minutes actively learning through these activities.
Writer's Workshop: Introduction to the Minilesson
The Writer's Workshop has 3 components: minilesson, writing time, and sharing. The minilesson is where I do most of the talking and the children respond. A lot of modeling/teaching occurs during the minilesson. 
  Kindermath: Alike and Different

Today, we begin Unit 2 called Sort and Classify.
