This week's theme is Apples

Using the story, Apple for Everyone, the kids will ask/answer simple recall questions such as: Where does this story take place? What kind of book is this? What is a fact we learned about apples? etc. In addition, we will address unknown vocabulary (bloom, ripe, thud, dribble, rot).

KinderMath: Unit 2 Sort and Classify
Today's Lesson: Alike and Different
The kids will work with matching numbers to dots on a cube (Although the dots/numbers are different, the amount is the same.) We will work on 'alike' by playing Copy Cat with objects. I will place objects (snap cubes, bears) in a certain arrangement and the kids will copy my arrangement with their objects.
Last, the kids will look at a picture on the SmartBoard and tell what they see that is alike or different among the objects.
