Language Arts: Using the nonfiction story, Children Past and Present
by Matthew Frank, the children will build academic vocabulary and
concepts related to children in the past and present time. They will notice the text structure to cue in to how things compare/contrast. For instance, the word but is a signal word in the text structure.
