Each day the kiddos have a chance to choose some activities from the Literacy Shelf. Some of the activities include lower-uppercase letter match, rhyming, syllables, ABC puzzles, stories on CD and more.
Handwriting: C
Math: Same and Different...Matching Quantities to 4
(Again, what you are reading is somewhat what I say to the children...)
Yesterday we played a match it game with our partners. We had so much fun that I want to play it again! I will want to match it so it has the same number. I will lay out 4 triangles. Then I will match it on the other side of the paper. I need to make sure I have the same thing and the same amount. I will need to count. On this side I have 4 green triangles and on this side I have 4 green triangles.
In partners students will play “Match it". One partner will put items on one side of their paper then say, "Match it.” Their partner will then match the manipulatives.
SMART Room: The children are working on the Superman hold. This takes lots of muscle work in our tummies!
~Please send your child with a raincoat or umbrella tomorrow. We are scheduled to see a real school bus in the back parking lot and will be spending some time outside if it isn't lightning.
~We enjoyed seeing and hearing our storybook reader yesterday...
~Zero the Hero brought his cape for the kids to wear!
