New Concept: Sometimes when we compare the weight of a few items it is hard to tell which one is lighter and which one is heavier. Did you notice that yesterday? We have a tool that can help us called a balance scale. Let’s try it out. Compare the weights of several items that were used the previous day. Demonstrate how the scale dips down on the side that holds the heaviest object.
Whole Group Explore: Today we will find items to compare and see which one will be heavier or lighter by using a balance scale. We will write down what we discover.
