KinderLiteracy: Penguins

The kids will listen to Penguins by Anne Schreiber for enjoyment and build an interest in the topic and expand their prior knowledge of what the penguins are.

The comprehension strategy worked on this week is Inferring/Connections.

Phonics: Manipulate Beginning Sounds

~A wide variety of new activities are now available for the kids to choose from. It's fun  to see how excited they get about something new.

     

Kindermath: About 15: Using a Rekenrek (see image below)

Rekenreks help children see combinations to 10 and allows them to show teen numbers quickly through a multi-sensory approach.
