The kids really enjoyed this coin song during our money unit! They will be making the "Gent Cents Men" found in this video.

Project: Poppy

We are learning what Memorial Day is. Sometimes we see poppies for sale this time of year so the children will learn why this is done and make a poppy to bring home.

Phy Ed Today 
  Our final Irish Pride Celebration will be held outside at 1:15. 
After the Irish Pride celebration, we will cheer on the 6th graders as they take on teachers and staff in a game of kickball this afternoon. It's planned that the kids will get Freezies from our PTA!

 No computer class today.
We have graduation practice this afternoon.

First, the kids hear a story and view a short clip on YouTube about the dime. Next, they will sing a few songs about it and finally, explore a real dime closely. This same routine has been done for the penny and nickel too.
    It's day 160...Zero the Hero's last visit!
