Guided Phonics: Long Vowel a (Day 1)

~Identifying sounds

~High Frequency Words: ate, late, name

~Word building sounds: Long vowel a (Words ending with e.)

KinderLiteracy: Butterflies

We'll discuss these vocabulary words (nectar, chrysalis, migration, instinct, generation) and answer these questions:

1) Who is the author? What is their job?

2) What is one fact we heard from the book?

  Literacy Jobs 
~For the remainder of the year, I will be taking kids for individual assessments during Literacy Jobs. Book bags will not be sent home however, the kids will be reading books from their book boxes every day in addition to their daily literacy work. 

   Math: Bubble Gum Graph

To end this unit on graphing, we are going to have some fun! The kids will get a piece of bubble gum and try to blow a bubble. We will graph the results and analyze the data.
