No. People began to call their harvest feast the “First Thanksgiving” hundreds of years later.

Sarah Hale. She wrote articles and letters to people in the government to ask them to create a Thanksgiving holiday.
Do all people think that Thanksgiving is a happy and joyful holiday?
No. Some people, especially many Native or Indigenous people think of Thanksgiving as a day of sadness.
How can we be respectful of the Native American culture on Thanksgiving?
Learn about their history, not use Native American culture as costumes.
