Writer's Workshop: Makes SenseAfter you write a sentence, you have to reread it to make sure it
makes sense. I'll model incorrectly writing a sentence by forgetting a word in the sentence stem. ”Lets reread what I wrote. ‘I the swng.' Does that make sense? I forgot the word “like” Good writers reread their sentences to make sure it makes sense.”
Handwriting: Number 4Literacy Jobs
Using a cube, sphere, cylinder and cone, the kids will help determine and talk about which shapes will roll, stack, and slide. I will point out how the cylinder and cone can only slide on their flat side which we call the face. Lastly, they will explore which shapes are able to stack and why a cone can only be placed on a stack with nothing on top of it.
