KinderMath: Compare Numbers to 10
First, the kids will be reviewing the comparison of numbers to 10 by working with sets of images, sounds, and numerals to 10. Next, I will read How Many Snails? A Counting Book and ask questions like Are there more grey clouds or white clouds? Are there fewer big clouds or little clouds? Are there fewer yellow or pink flowers? Are there more fish with their mouths open or shut? etc. Lastly, the kids will listen to sets of sounds and tell me if they hear more claps vs. stomps, knocks vs. clicks, etc. This allows children to realize we use comparison in our lives everyday, and it’s not solely dependent on numerals.
Spanish Class

This week students from the high school Spanish class will be coming to our room from 12-12:35. They have prepared a Spanish name for each of the kids and will call them by that name when they are here. Today, the students plan to do activities with the alphabet.

~Library day is tomorrow.

~The children enjoyed hearing a story from Mrs. Erger yesterday!
