Pumpkin Day
We have a few pumpkin activities scheduled for today!
~ Where is the Pumpkin? Book: An interactive prepositions activity
~ Paint a pumpkin (Thank you to Addie's family for donating them!)
~ Pumpkin stories
~Pumpkin life cycle (We didn't get to this yesterday.)
The picture above shows our Pumpkin Jack that will be with us. It will be fun for the kids to watch what happens to him all year!
Partners will work on building sets of 9 and 10 using a 10-Frame and comparing with each other who has more/less. Next, the children will hear the story, Ten Black Dots by Donald Crews and see how sets of 9 and 10 dots can be made into different things. The story will be used again on Monday so the children can create their own picture using up to 10 black dots.
