Science: Pumpkin Life CycleThe story, Pumpkin Jack written and illustrated by Will Hubbel, will start the lesson off about the life cycle of a pumpkin. This story tells about the life cycle of a pumpkin and how a boy discovers Jack can grow again another year. The kids will get a chance to dig into a pumpkin and experience the smell, touch the "guts" and seeds before we carve a face on our own Jack. We are going to save Jack in a jar for the entire school year and observe how he changes during the year. To conclude the lesson, the kids will cut and glue pieces to show the life cycle of a pumpkin.
