Literacy Jobs

Writing Activity: Describing our peeps
The kids tucked their peep in a cozy bed yesterday and placed it in a warm, plastic bag. Today, their peep will get a sweet treat...A Tic Tac!
~The kids did a great job keeping their egg warm yesterday...just look at all those cracks that will show up today!
Math: Addition Stories
We will continue to work on story problems and i t’s vital that our students know there is always more than ONE way to solve a problem. They will practice solving a few addition stories by using each of these strategies:
A number path, ten-frame,writing the statement (e.g., 2 + 3 = 5), or drawing a picture. There were 5 kids on the swings and 2 more kids came to swing. How many kids are on the swings in all? My mom gave me 6 buttons, and my dad gave me 3 buttons. How many buttons do I have in all?
In this lesson, students observe changes in the weather when a storm is coming. In the activity, Breeze Buddy, students make a simple tool that lets them see how windy it is. Music Today
