Friday, January 17

Friday, January 17
We are doing many activities today to learn about Dr. Martin Luther King.
~Although we ALL look different on the outside, we ALL look and feel the same on the inside. To demonstrate this, we will look at a brown and white egg and write down the differences we see. The eggs will be cracked open to see that they look the same!

Martin Luther King had 2 boys and 2 girls. We will explore ways to make 4 if he would have had a different gender layout. Rosa Parks wasn't allowed to sit in front of a bus. We are working with numbers that can be split evenly between 3 bus windows. Watch for these sheets to come home today.
Project: We are ALL different and special...the kids will create a wreath of hands to display this idea.
A storybook reader is scheduled for 10:10 to read You Think It's Easy Being the Tooth Fairy?
