Writer's Workshop: Our focus today is to understand that words carry meaning, and words are always comprised of letters. Words always go from left to right and we always put spaces between words.

Math: One More, One Fewer
In this activity, the kids turn over a number card and write that number down as well as showing it on a ten frame. Next, a -1 or +1 cube is rolled to change that number to one more or one less than the number written down. Their work focuses on:
~Developing an understanding of more than and fewer than.
~To add and subtract numbers.
~To model the action of combining and separating situations.
