Sight Word Focus: she
Phonemic Awareness: Change the ending sound to make a new word...bit to bin,
cop to cot, etc.
/oo/ Digraph: We begin to focus on words with /oo/ in the middle. Ask your child to draw the Boo of /oo/ for you!

Writer's Workshop: Love is...The kids will be writing what they think love is. We are working on writing more than one sentence now.
This lesson will have children feeling for flat/solid shapes. Student pairs will play Guess the Shape with their partner. “Simon says get a shape that has three equal sides,” or “Simon says get a shape that has no sides AND can roll.”Is the shape flat or solid?", etc. How many sides do you feel? Does the shape have any vertices/corners? Is the shape round or straight? Would the shape roll or stack?
