Writer's Workshop: Ending with Feeling
We return to work on Personal Narratives today and try to end our stories with feelings.
Literacy Jobs We return to work on Personal Narratives today and try to end our stories with feelings.
The Literacy Shelf contains new activities that support CVC words, sight words, stretching out words, and more!
Math: Count By 2's Part 2
We will start the lesson by reading the story, Eggs and Legs by Michael Dahl which focuses on counting by 2's and pairs of objects. Why would we want to count by 2’s? Would we always count items by two’s? Be sure students know that we would not always count by 2’s if the set does not lend itself to that. Each pair of students will use 10 pairs of color cubes (2 red, 2 yellow, etc.) and a set of count by 2’s number cards. Partners will first make the pairs from the snap cubes. Then they will lay out their snap cubes with space between each set of cubes. Next, they will lay out the number cards under each set to match and lastly, go back through and practice counting the cubes by 2’s.
