Kinderliteracy: Kindness
Each Kindness by: Jacqueline Woodson is the book we will work with all week.
As always, we read the story for enjoyment and build an interest in the topic without adding teaching points.
The comprehension strategy the kids work on this week is Connections and Inferring.

Writer's Workshop: Character & Setting
Today, the kids will draw their first story that includes a character and where the story takes place.

 KinderMath: Order Weight
As the lesson title suggests, the kids will put objects in order from lightest to heaviest/heaviest to lightest.
Music Today
Growing a Candy Cane!
The children will plant their own candy cane seed that will grow throughout the week.
Magical ingredients...
~A Tic Tac imprinted with a candy cane.
~Planted in sugar with a dash of red sprinkles.
~The gift wrapping play center is ready to go! The kids will have fun wrapping these items:
Teddy bear
Necklace
Car
Crayons
 Ball
This center helps the kids determine whether the gift should be wrapped in a small, medium, or large piece of paper. Other skills are: cutting, taping, and writing a friend's names on a tag. The gift is then returned to the wrapper for 're-gifting' to another friend. The fun keeps going on and on!

'It's looking mighty festive now...

A BIG thank you to those of you who were able to help!

~If you didn't return Gingerbread Jack or Jill with the journal today, please send it in tomorrow!
