KinderMath: Read and Write 8Today's lesson focuses on understanding what the number 8 is and how it can be represented in multiple ways. (Writing the numeral, 8 fingers, tallies, number word, 8 objects, counting 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7, 8 etc.) We will work on noticing that no matter how you arrange 8 cubes (in a row, stairs, in a rectangle, etc.) it is always 8. We also continue to work on what comes next in a sequence of numbers.

The kids will create this picture by cutting, gluing, tearing, and drawing. Look for them hanging in the hall when you come for conferences.
Irish Pride Store Shopping Day!
The kids have been earning Irish Pride tickets for expected behavior since the beginning of the school year. They will be able to save or spend their earned tickets when visiting the store today.
~The cutest, little firefighters Maple Lake has ever seen!
~I am in need of 7 pumpkins (that are about the size of a cantelope) for a project the kids will do soon. I would be so grateful....
