New ConceptToday I want to show you a new word.  It is a number bond. We have seen this in some of our math review, but today I want to use it to tell a story.  We have learned about these before but they looked like puzzle pieces. These will work the same way, they will just look a little different.
I am going to tell a story and use my number bond as I do.
There was a dog and he found 3 bones in the garden (put cubes in smaller circle ). He found 4 bones by the shed ( put cubes in the other small circle ). How many bones did he find all together? ( move all the cubes into the large circle )
Whole Group ExploreNow you will work with your partner as I tell the story.
