Writer's Workshop: Writing with Direction
We begin a new unit today that helps children learn how to write 'How-Tos'. For instance, how to make a peanut butter sandwich. To launch this unit, we will discuss why we need to be 'teachers' in our writings so others know how to do something we want to teach them. Literacy Jobs
Math: Combining Sets to 10This is the last day of this unit where we use the terminology of 'and' & 'make'. The kids will be combining numbers that make 10 by using the story Ten for Me by Barbara Mariconda, a number bond board and connecting cubes.
