Guided Phonics:  (Day 2)

~Phoneme Isolation

   ~High frequency words: big, got, dog

~Word building sound: g /g/    

 

KinderLiteracy: Penguins

The kids will listen to Penguins by Anne Schreiber for enjoyment and build an interest in the topic and expand their prior knowledge of what the penguins are.

The comprehension strategy worked on this week is Inferring/Connections.

Literacy Jobs

~There are new jobs available for 'Literacy Job' time!

We will discuss what resolutions are and with guidance, your child will write a few of their own.
 
~We will have the book exchange today.

     KinderMath: Teen Number 12
Again, we are working on teen numbers and really trying to understand that it is '10 and some more.' Today's work focuses on the number 12.
