The kids will listen to Storms by Miriam Goin to build an interest in the topic for this week: Storms
The comprehension strategy this week is Connections.
KinderWriting: Authors use Syntax(Didn't get to this last week.)
Syntax is how words go together. When we write, it needs to make sense...we don't want to mix-up or leave out words that may affect the meaning.
Math: Addition Sums to 10Today’s lesson is all about having FUN with addition! In our read aloud, Domino Addition by Lynette Long, we will l ook at presenting addition in a horizontal and vertical format. The kids will choose their own items to work with in order to solve the addition problems. 
We Love our Earth!
This week we will do activities that promote caring for our earth.
Today the kids will learn about 'Litter' Red Riding Hood who thinks it is okay to drop her garbage on the ground instead of putting it in the trash can. The story explains how it hurts animals, our environment, and people. At the conclusion of the story, the kids will sequence the events as they occurred in the story.
