Happy Birthday, Fancie!
KinderLiteracy: Pumpkins
I will reread parts of Pumpkin Town! so the children can answer text-dependent questions like the ones below:
~What evidence did the author provide to show that the boys had made a mistake by throwing out the pumpkin seeds?
~How did the townspeople's feelings change throughout the story?
~What occurs after the boys clean up the pumpkins for the townspeople?
Writer's Workshop: My pumpkin is ____.
The kids will be guided in writing three descriptive words about the small pumpkin they decorated yesterday at our party. (A BIG thank you to Hudson's family for donating them!)
Handwriting: C Stroke
(We did not get to this yesterday.)
The kids will work on counting objects in a set and then comparing that amount with their partner's set. This promotes math skill work of: compare, greater, less, same.
