Friday, October 11
Today's lesson focuses on understanding what the number 7 is and how it can be represented in multiple ways. (writing the numeral, 7 fingers, tallies, number word, 7 objects, counting 1, 2, 3, 4, 5, 6, 7. etc.) Again, we will use the story Hop Jump by Ellen Stoll Walsh to help with counting and playing two games that involve counting and identifying the next number in a sequence of numbers: Roll & Cover and What Comes Next?
Phy Ed Today
Project: A firetruck to the rescue of a burning house!
The kids will create this picture by cutting, gluing, tearing, and drawing. Look for them hanging in the hall when you come for conferences.
~We will be visiting the Book Fair today to see all the amazing books for sale. Our class is scheduled to shop on Tuesday, October 15 but you are welcome to come at any additional time when it's convenient for you. Ewallet is the safest and most convenient way to pay but if you choose to send cash, please send it in a sealed envelope with your child's name and amount on the front. Thank you!
Irish Pride Store Shopping Day!
The kids have been earning Irish Pride tickets for expected behavior since the beginning of the school year. They will be able to save or spend their earned tickets when visiting the store today.
~I'm looking forward to visiting with those of you who are scheduled for conferences Monday evening!
~Syrup donations are still requested. Thank you!
~No school for elementary students on Wednesday, October 16 due to conferences.
