 Writer's Workshop: Problem/Solution
Today, we will focus on how many stories contain a problem and solution. 

  KinderMath: Count By 2's Part 2 

We will start the lesson by reading the story, Eggs and Legs by Michael Dahl which is about counting by 2's and pairs of objects. The students will use 10 pairs of color cubes (2 red, 2 yellow, etc.) and a set of count by 2's number cards. Partners will first make the pairs from the snap cubes. They will then lay out their snap cubes with space between each set of cubes. Next, they will a lay out the number cards under each set to match and lastly, go back through to practice counting the cubes by 2's.

               

    Will the groundhog see his shadow? The kids will make predictions today and graph the results on Monday.
