We will read Jack the Builder by Stuart Murphy and focus on the solid figures and their attributes, like their shape, size, roundness, & corners. After the read aloud, we will create a solid shapes poster like the one pictured below.
Zero the Hero visits today...Day 80!Next, we will play “Get in the Shape.” For this activity, students will pretend like they are “stuffed” in the shape. For example, they will pretend to get into a cylinder...How do the walls feel? What does the top feel like? What shape are you standing on? {circle bottom} We will continue with the remaining solid shapes.
