**We begin science today in kindergarten! Our first unit introduces the children to pushes and pulls and how those affect the motion of objects. The kids will observe and investigate the effects of what happens when the strength or direction of those pushes and pulls are changed.

Pushes & Pulls: Big Barges

  In this lesson, the children discover that there are pushes and pulls involved in any kind of work, including the work done by barges. In the activity, we will develop a See-Think-Wonder chart to help improve their understanding and explanations (Refer to the sample picture below.) and be adding to this chart throughout the entire unit. Please view barges to see what your child will learn!
