After reading Goodbye Summer, Hello Fall by Kenard Pak, the kids will help make a list of summer things we are saying goodbye to and fall things we are saying hello to. They will draw pictures of those things after the list is generated.

How do pencils help us learn? How do we use them properly? How do we take care of them? Where do we find a new one if the one we use needs sharpening? 

KinderMath: Noticing Differences
As we did yesterday, the kids will look at another picture on the SmartBoard and use their 'math talk' to tell what differences they see. Next, I will call pairs of students to stand so that we can see what is different about them. (One is a boy, one is a girl; one has brown hair, one has blonde hair, etc.)
