Kindermath: Read and Write 5

To introduce today's lesson, I will read Five Little Kittens by Nancy Jewel.
This lesson focuses on recognizing different groups of objects to 5. While it may seem like an easy concept, we are building strong foundational skills for accuracy in counting while developing number sense at the same time.
The kids had fun making some human-size tally groups of 5 yesterday. The giggles and laughs are just the best!
Bus Safety
Lesson: Stay out of the Danger Zone
Project: If time allows, the kids will make a school bus to hang in our hallway. If not, we will push it out to Monday.
Take a look at some photos and a video of the puppet show from yesterday...

Irish Pride Celebration Today at 2:15
It's GREAT to be Irish!
Bringing our elementary students together builds community and school pride. These celebrations typically last about 20 minutes with music, a quick presentation of the character word for the month, and introductions for new students to Maple Lake. We end the celebration by singing our Irish Pride song.

(Last names A-K will have PE, L-Z have music.)

Have a great weekend, everyone!
