Language Arts: The Life Cycle of a Frog
The children will be exposed to a variety of skills with this big book:
~Build academic vocabulary and concepts related to frogs.
~Determine text importance.
~Use a graphic organizer.
~Identify nonfiction text features: table of contents and glossary.
DAILY 5: Take a look at how we rotate which DAILY 5 component the kids go to. Each group of names is rotated clockwise after approximately 10-15 minutes. Most days we are able to do 3 rounds of DAILY 5.
Using connecting cubes, the children determine which group of cubes has more/fewer than the other.
*It's Day 50 already! Zero the Hero will be here for a visit.
PhyEd Today
The children will learn who the Pilgrims were and how Thanksgiving began. Tasha has a Pilgrim project for the kids to do at the end of the lesson.
Smart Room Highlight: Rolling a tennis ball up one side of our body then grab it with the other hand and roll it down the other side. Don't let it drop!
