I say a word and roll a ball to a child for them to produce a word that rhymes with mine. The rest of the class determines whether the word is real or nonsense.

The children will be exposed to a variety of skills with this big book:
~Build academic vocabulary and concepts related to frogs.
~Determine text importance.
~Use a graphic organizer.
~Identify nonfiction text features: table of contents and glossary.

Using connecting cubes, the children determine which group of cubes has more/fewer than the other.
*It's Day 50 already! Zero the Hero will be here for a visit.

The children will learn who the Pilgrims were and how Thanksgiving began. Tasha has a Pilgrim project for the kids to do at the end of the lesson.
