Objects are pulled out of a bag to make this a fun and exciting way to do blending work. For example, a child will pull out a pencil from the bag and say pen-cil while the rest of the class responds pencil.

Arts: Introduce the Comprehension Strategy: Identify Sequence of EventsThe children will use the poster below to:
~Identify the sequence of events in pictures and text.
~Determine text importance, such as signal words.

DAILY 5 Each child will get a small poster with pictures that shows things they can write about in their journal.
A storybook reader is scheduled for 1:40 to read One is a Feast for a Mouse.
