Whole Group Explore: Now you will document our rice experiment. You will start by drawing the first bowl we used. Now draw how high the rice was in the bowl.
Now I will pour it into another container. Which one should we try next? Now draw how the rice looks in this next container. Continue until the response page has been completed. Which container had the most capacity? Which had the least capacity.
Guide students to use the language of higher or lower capacity.
