Character Education: Mrs. Weninger will introduce the Unthinkable Worry Wall. Watch for a description of him to come home today.
Math: How Many More To Make 10?
New Concept: Today I want to keep practicing our 10 frame game. I will guide the students towards recognizing that 7 is one full row (5) and two more, that you just need 3 more to fill the whole frame (or make 10). This is repeated a few more times.
Whole Group Explore: Today, you are going to play Ten Frame Fun again with the math talk card. Let’s review how to use it. You will play the game the same way you did yesterday and after your turn you will use the math talk card. “I have 7. I need 3 more to make 10.”
Student Application: Students will fill in the missing leaves and complete the statement.
Music Day
Computer Class Today
The children will be visiting Santa's Secret Shop this morning. They will be searching for some special item(s) to give to you! Wednesday, December 7 is their shopping day.
~We have a gift wrapping play center set up in our classroom now. The kids will have fun wrapping one of the following items to give to a friend: teddy bear, necklace, car, crayons, or a ball. This center helps the kids determine whether the gift should be wrapped in a small, medium, or large piece of paper. Other skills are: cutting, taping, and writing friends' names. To watch the recipients open a gift from a friend is priceless as both parties enjoy the anticipation. The gift is then returned to the wrapper for 're-gifting' to another friend. The fun keeps going on and on!
If you have any tape to spare, we could use some...Thanks!
~Look who arrived in our classroom today...He is ready to do some shenanigans this month!
Have a GREAT weekend!
