Letter Study: Zz
Math: Part-Part/Whole
New Concept: Review the concept of part/part/whole. Let’s think some more about part/part/whole. There were 8 owls sitting in a tree. Some had mice, but 3 did not. How many owls had mice? As I tell the story, I build on the whole/part/part mat. I will provide a few examples.
Whole Group Explore: Everyone will start with 10 as their whole number. One partner will roll the dice and count out the cubes and put them on a part. The other partner will need to figure out how many cubes to put on the other part to make 10.
Student Application: Students will practice completing their whole/part/part frames.

PhyEd Today
Social Studies: The Holidays in Germany
The children will learn about the holiday tradition Germany.
~The candy canes have bloomed! We had the perfect conditions to grow these beautiful works of wonder! It looks like Santa Elf doesn't want this one to go home today...
~Reindeer Games will be happening in Kindergarten tomorrow! Have your child wear as much brown as they can!
~Again, did you notice that your child has a purple star coming home on their work? This signifies that a teacher/grown-up has checked their paper and it's ready for home.~We will be in need of bandaids, bandage wrap and Q-Tips for our next dramatic play center coming in January. I would be so grateful for anything you can spare!
