Daily 5!
Math: Composing and Decomposing Teen Numbers
New Concept: Today I am going to use my spinner, but I am not going to use the egg carton to help me count. I am going to make a pile of ten so I don’t lose track of what I have counted so far. (The spinner contains words like one ten and three ones, one ten and five ones.)
Whole Group Explore: Today you will use the spinner again like I just did to play a game with your partner. The first partner will spin and they will then build a pile for each number they spin. Finally, they will use the math talk card to talk about their number. (__ten and ___ones make ___.)
