Character Education
First, Mrs. Weninger will review the Social Detective skills (Use your eyes, ears, brain and heart) and then she will introduce the Zones of Regulation. See the picture above that explains how we may feel. Our goal is to not get stuck in any of the zones too long and always aim for the green zone.

Math: More and Fewer
New Concept: We have learned so much about fewer and more. I thought it would be fun to make a class book! Model draw a sample page. So if my sentence said, “There were more yellow leaves than red leaves.” How might I draw that? Invite students to participate in the problem solving. Take several suggestions while supporting the idea that there is more than 1 way to illustrate an answer (6 yellow, 5 red…. 4 yellow, 3 red… would 3 yellow and 4 red work?) You may want to let them help in the drawing. After the drawing is complete, ask, When I look at this drawing, could I also say, “There are less red leaves than yellow leaves”?
Whole Group:
Now you are going to help make a class book! Your partner and you will each have a page to illustrate. I will hand each of you a page. Talk with your partner about how you will illustrate your picture. When you are ready you can get started.
Student Application:Today you will work on your own book about fewer and more.
