~Again, these activities include work with CVC words, sight words, letter formation, letter/sound correspondence, etc.
~Book Club is back in session! Your child will bring their reading bag home twice a week.
The lesson is started by introducing the solid shape posters. We will read Jack the Builder by Stuart Murphy and focus on the solid figures and their attributes, like their shape, size, roundness, corners. After the read aloud, we will start a solid shapes poster. After the students help create the poster, they will stand to play “Get in the Shape.” For this activity students will pretend like they are “stuffed” in the shape. For example, they will get into a cylinder...How do the walls feel? What does the top feel like? What shape are you standing on? {circle bottom} We will continue with the remaining solid shapes.
