Wednesday, March 17

 Wednesday, March 17
Oh my, the shenanigans have already started in our classroom! Look at the tiny message the Leprechauns wrote!

Those Leprechauns are leaving green footprints all over and messing a few things up in our classroom! In fact, they made made some of our papers for math and literacy jobs mini-size! We will be on the lookout ALL day for more suspicious activity...

Kindermath: Find Differences of Sets to 10
In today’s lesson the kids will be going further than simply comparing two sets as more or less. They will be working on stating how many the difference between two sets is. For this activity, each pair will need two sets of number cards 1-10 and 20 snap cubes. Each partner will pull a card and build that amount of cubes. Students will then “make friends” with their cubes so they can easily see how many more/fewer. Again, the kids will focus on stating the amount that the difference is.

What shape will have the most? The least? The same? The best part is eating our math!

Shamrock Counting by 10's..the kids write the missing decades.
The kids will put the finishing touches on their traps this morning. It's likely the Leprechauns will visit our classroom this afternoon while we are looking for the pot of gold!
