Using the story, The Little Scarecrow Boy, the kids will answer simple recall questions such as: Where does this story take place? Who is the main character? What happened at the beginning, middle, and end of the story? In addition, we will address unknown vocabulary (dawn, mammoth, chat, borrowed, lapel).

Kindermath: Counting Up and Back
As the title states, the kids will do a variety of activities that support counting forward 0-10 and back 10-0. 

            

~The children will receive a small paper booklet that explains why we honor Veterans on this day and make a soldier to bring home.    
 ~Iraqi War Vet, Sean Nies, will explain what a Veteran is and what his job was when he served in Al Taqaddum, Iraq. Sean was a Seabee in the Navy and his rank was First Class Petty Officer. His wife is a former teacher here at MLE. The message is here.

~'Disguise the Turkey' is due tomorrow!
