Kinderwriting: Show and Retell Stories
The children and I will write a 'show and retell' story together today. Through detailed illustrations and attempts at labeling, the story should be easily retold. Again, this takes a lot practice and we are laying the groundwork for the kids to become skilled, independent writers.
Kindermath: How Many More?
Using cubes, the kids will compare two sets to see which set has more. They will go a step further by telling how many more. This will be practiced by hearing some number sentences such as, "I have 5 bears. You have 3 bears. Who has more? How many more?"
