Kinderwriting: A Picture Book
We are done with unit 1,Writing with Pictures, and will recall a few of the things they learned throughout the unit (drawing with detail, labeling, putting themselves in the story). We will staple their completed pages into their first 'book'. Can you do me a favor? Please make a big deal out of their book when they show you...your enthusiasm will encourage them to work hard and feel confidence as we advance to the next step of the writing process. Thank you!

Kindermath: Compare Length
The kids will continue to build their knowledge of comparing sizes. They will compare the length between two items and use 'math talk' to explain the difference. ("The string is longer than the shoe." or "The pencil is shorter than the book.") This is an engaging activity for the children because they get to choose what to measure throughout our classroom.
