Students of the month for February will be recognized as well as new students to our school. The new character word for the month will be introduced: acceptance. We will end the celebration by singing our Irish Pride song.

KinderMath: Combining Sets up to 20
Again, we will be focusing on combining sets but this time to 20. Again, this is not a "true" addition lesson, but rather getting the kids to become confident in combining two sets of objects for a total or "in all". It's important to teach them the reason behind counting on. For example 7 bears and 8 apples. How many in all? *Count on from 7...*7*, 8, 9, 10, 11, 12, 13, 14, 15.
