In this fiction text, children meet a young girl named Mei Mei and her grandpa, Gong Gong. Gong Gong teaches Mei Mei how to do tai chi, and she works hard to figure out the complex hand, arm, and leg movements. Mei Mei teaches Gong Gong how to do yoga, and he works hard to learn the different poses. Even though they both struggle to learn new things, they persevere.

Writing Activity: Adopt a Peep
Your child will receive a Peep to adopt this week. Today's task is to write their Peep's name, how old it is, if it is a boy/girl, and what it likes to do. 
KinderMath: Combining Sets to 10
This is the last day of this unit where we use the terminology 'and' & 'make'. The kids will be combining numbers that make 10 by using the story Ten for Me by Barbara Mariconda, a number bond board and connecting cubes.  

The kids will be trying to 'hatch' an egg over the next few days. If they are successful at staying on their egg, it might just hatch before the end of the day on Friday!
