 Phonological Awareness: 1) Rhyme Recognition & 2) Segmenting Words by Syllables

Language Arts: Again, the children will work on the comprehension strategy: Analyze Character
The kids are learning about looking closer at their feelings, actions, thoughts, and words.

 Writer's Workshop: After hearing the story, Wolf! By Becky Bloom, we will make connections to this book and "Turn and Talk" to someone sitting next to us. The children will write briefly in their journal. At this time of year, the kids are drawing pictures and may be attempting to write some sounds they hear to label their drawing.


SMART Room: Crawling on their bellies under the ghosts.
DAILY 5: As I mentioned yesterday, we started building stamina for Work on Writing. The children were successful at 9 minutes of uninterrupted writing!
Math: 3D Shape Faces/Trace the Face/Writing 1, 2, 3, 4, 5  

 Music Day
 ~Be sure to practice your word lists that come home. There is never a due date, just when you think your child is ready to be tested or better yet, celebrate the words they can read!
