~The children will receive a small paper booklet that explains why we honor Veterans on this day and make a soldier to bring home.
~Iraqi War Vet, Sean Nies, will explain what a veteran is and what his job was when he served in Al Taqaddum, Iraq. Sean was a Seabee in the Navy and his rank was First Class Petty Officer. His wife is a former teacher here at MLE. See his message here.

Kindermath: Match Sets to Numerals
We begin a new unit in math called Comparing Numbers. Today, the kids will work on counting objects in sets and match the corresponding numeral. They will also do an activity that works on telling what number comes next within a sequence of numbers.
